Definition

The name of the geometric crystal class to which the space group of a crystal belongs. The crystal systems are:

triclinic
monoclinic
orthorhombic
tetragonal
trigonal
hexagonal
cubic

Note that rhombohedral crystals belong to the trigonal system.
