Extinction symbol

Symbole d'extinction (Fr). Simbolo d'estinzione (It). 消滅記号 (Ja).
Extinction symbol is the term used in the International Tables for Crystallography to indicate Donnay & Harker's aspect symbol. The latter was not adopted because of the morphological connotation of the word aspect.
